This Sfera exhibition presents the work of the Korean artist SangSun Bae, who has been based in Kyoto for the past fifteen years. SangSun Bae’s works exploring themes of human relationships encompass a project researching modern Korean and Japanese history through original uses of film, installation art, and ceramics. Using thread and springs and metaphors, “Repeat & Repeat” presents new works created from the encounters and stories of many people, recognizing that while our objectives and directions in life may be different, the essence of what drives is in the repetitive day-to-day is largely the same.
