When faced with coming up with the title for this exhibition, for some reason the Taima Mandala in Nara came into Youhei Nishimura’s head, which led him to Orikuchi Shinobu’s masterwork, “The Book of the Dead.” A romantic fiction, it delivers a labyrinth of time and space where the seen and the unseen world collide, giving birth to the theme for this exhibition.
