This event has ended.

Toru Kanazawa’s work has encompassed diverse perspectives on photography, from commercial photography and exhibitions, to research and direction for W. Eugene Smith and Aileen M. Smith’s “Minamata” series, to teaching. His “Iron Series” exhibited here captures iron as a solid substance that changes amid shifts in natural environments and periods of time, reaffirming that our daily lives fluctuate like all things great and small as time marches on. Also displayed are works taken two weeks before the terrorist attacks on the New York WTC area as an extension of the “Iron Series” and a set of new and old photographs from a 2003–2016 series of fixed-point photography.
