Shu Yamamoto’s photo exhibition “Childhood landscape” is held on the first floor of Kyoto Museum of Photography Gallery.
“The works of this exhibition were taken in a town where I spent my childhood.The land that I spent till I was ten years old makes a soft and ambiguous image emerge inside me. There are many changes in the town, but I can still feel the memory of childhood everywhere. Since I become an adult, I feel emotional distance from the land more than the physical distance. It may be difficult to see the world like those day again. But, only in the photographs, can I return to those days while finding those day anywhere.”
