Tatsuo Kawaguchi (1940-) was born in Kobe and became one of the most internationally-known Japanese artists. He pursues the relations between the "visible" and "invisible" and stimulates the viewer's imagination. This exhibition features about 80 works including "A room of darkness" and a new piece, "Boat".
The exhibition is held in conjunction with another exhibition featuring Kawaguchi's work at the Nagoya City Art Museum. The two art museums will select works by the artist from differing perspectives and display them simultaneously. There will be approximately 80 works on display including "room of darkness" where visitors become participants, and "boat."
