Mucha and Living Art Nouveau

The Osaka Museum of Housing and Living

poster for Mucha and Living Art Nouveau

This event has ended.

This exhibition introduces Belle Epoque culture from late 19th to early 20th century Paris through the works of Alphonse Mucha. While famous for his highly decorative posters, namely of actress Sarah Bernhardt, and panels, Mucha also applied his hand to other genres within design, from jewellery and furniture to packaging and restaurant menus. This exhibition explores how Art Nouveau became integrated into everyday Parisian life.
