Exhibition of textiles Kyoto University of Art and Design graduate Maya Kobayashi, who prefers to employ fabrics that feel uniquely raw to the touch, such as organdy, a very light and permeable fabric that she shrinks by applying heat, turning it into an appealingly rugged and uneven surface and then dyes vibrant colours. In this exhibition, her large scale, layered textile works will be on display.
