The Makimuku Remains, symbol of the opening of a new era in the Kofun period, are famed for their collection of pottery, including clay work from around the country and in particular the Tokai region. This exhibition brings a focus to the Tokai pottery of Nara and examines the regional exchange engaged in during the Kofun era.
