Love, Ribbon, Furoku
Kyoto International Manga Museum
This event has ended.
Japanese young girl’s comic magazine “Ribbon” achieved an astounding 2,550,000 sales in 1994 - a record which is yet to be broken. This success can be attributed in large part to “furoku,” bags of goodies that the magazines are distributed in. This exhibition presents a display of Ribbon’s furoku, showing over 1000 items that made over 2,500,000 young girls go crazy.
