This arts festival celebrates the Namban multicultural spirit of freedom in the independent old port city of Sakai. Step back in time while enjoying contemporary art in these streets dating back to the Middle ages with a retro street car running through them. Divided into the East Sakai, Shukiun, Sakai Old Port, and Ayano-cho areas, this festival presents a chemical reaction between contemporary Japanese and Namba artists with displays including the collections of tea ceremony masters and gunsmith techniques.
