This ceremonial observance is where the transient and the eternal, the primitive and the refined, the sacred and the sacrilegious are united. We reimagine the art of shitsurai, the appropriate and aesthetic arrangement of a space that has been handed down since Heian times, to refresh our spirits and help us become more receptive and appreciative in today’s busy world.
