The Ultra Award competition was launched in 2010 to discover and cultivate the talent of Kyoto University of Art & Design students and graduates with the potential to work on a global scale. Yuko Hasegawa, a curator renowned for her international practice, heads the selection and direction of artists and the curation of the show. This year’s theme is “New Organics.” A jury panel will decide on the winner of the Excellence Award on the last day.
